Do you have the The Pink Beach in Lombok, Indonesia on your WISSHH Travel List?
The Pink Beach is also known as Tangsi Beach in Lombok, an island in West Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia: https://www.instagram.com/p/CwHuSEyNwP2/
One in Lombok, head southeast and you will reach the Jerowaru District. The Pink Beach is just over two hours by car from Mataram city. You can also reach the beach by boat, probably easiest way.
So why is the sand of the beach pink?
The pink sand is formed by the process of the red coral in the reef that crumbles away and reaching the shore it combines with the white sand forming this pink coloration.
The use of filters by content creators make the sand look “pinker” than in reality but it’s still worth the journey if your are near by, maybe worth visiting.
